This month I thought I would share a recent pencil sketch that was done of a very adorable little girl.
Our pencil sketches are done by hand using a graphite pencil then scanned in to create a digital version for high resolution printing. Pencil sketches are perfect for portraits of adults, children and even pets! All you have to do is provide us one of your favorite photos and our artists’ will do the rest!

I posted this order on our GiveAcaricature blog recently but I wanted to show it here as well because it has become one of my favorites! We get a lot of Harley-Davidson caricature orders but this one stood out because it wasn’t our typical man or woman on a Harley motorcycle order.
We love to turn your favorite family portrait, pet photos, car photos, or really any of your favorite photos into a Masterpiece! One order we had last year was an order for our oil style artwork from a black and white wedding photo from 1960. The resolution of the photo was not great since it was an older photo that was scanned into the computer, but I think our artist’s did a wonderful job!
So far 2011 has been very busy for us at Leading Edge Gifts.
The year started off with the announcement on January 10th by Playboy that they have accepted Hugh Hefner’s offer to buy the company and take it private.
The deal is expected to close sometime in the first quarter. See more information on our GiveAshare blog. What does this mean to us? Basically once Playboy goes private the stock certificates are gone. It’s created a bit of a buzz among collectors, and we are definitely seeing an uptick in Playboy stock sales on our GiveAshare.com website. But once it’s gone, it’s gone for good.
Last weekend we participated in our first Bridal Show. What an event! We had a great time, met lots of brides and grooms, and realized once again how popular and how much fun our caricatures are! (more…)
